Giannini, Frida
(1955- )
   Born in Rome, Giannini attended fashion school and then designed jeans before moving to Fendi in 1995. Hired by Tom Ford to design Gucci accessories in 2002, she later replaced Alessandra Facchinetti (after only two seasons) as creative director for Gucci women in 2005. Giannini's goal is to create clothing for women who have a more balanced life in contrast to the sleek, sexy, chic customer that Tom Ford chose to dress.
